Parking Tips

Rumor has it that parking is a huge pain at University of Central Florida!! Let me tell you, the rumors are true!
I've put together some tips that could really help you out!

If you live near campus (especially for the first few weeks) make sure to leave your house around 30 mins. early.
If you are a commuter, depending on distance from school, around 1 hr to 1 hr & 1/2 will be playing it pretty safe.
This leaves ample time to circle around the garage a bunch of times until you find a person leaving.

The time of your class is also important when deciding how early you should leave your home.  If you have a class at 7am, odds are you'll find a spot extremely easy so you don't need to allow for as much time.  If your class takes place during the hours of 9am-4pm, totally add that extra time for circling around the garage. If you take night classes you'll have a fairly easy time finding a space, and probably do not need as much extra time.

The minute you think you've found someone leaving you should definately turn on your indicator to the side that the person is walking on.  Doing this "claims" your person so other cars know that YOU are the one who is following them to their spot.

Pay attention to the direction people in the garage are walking.  Odds are, if they're walking towards the building they aren't leaving.

There are days when you'll feel a spot will never open up before you have to make class! On days like these, some students have been known to pick up another student and drive them to their parking spot. Even though they are a fellow Knight, they are a stranger to you. Please don't do this, it's dangerous.
